Flying

Photo of J on his first plane ride.

The babies and I will be en route to Mississippi today (Tuesday), so please excuse the light posting! As soon as I recover from flying by myself with two kiddos ages 3 and under I'll be back with updates, ;D

We're super excited about visiting Mamaw and Papaw, but totally sad about parting with Taro. He's headed to a work conference in Chicago while we're down south. This will be the first time since W's birth that any of us have spent a night apart. Hopefully the fun we have on our respective journeys will sustain us through the pangs of missing each other. Wah! Looking forward to Sunday, when we'll meet again...

Seven Years Ago Today

And now you are mine. Rest with your dream in my dream.
Love and pain and work should all sleep now.
The night turns on its invisible wheels
And you are pure beside me as a sleeping amber

No one else, Love, will sleep in my dreams.
You will go, we will go together, over the waters of time.
No one else will travel through the shadows with me,
Only you, evergreen, ever sun, ever moon.

Happy Long Weekend + Link Love

Photo via Flickr

I hope that whatever your weekend has in store that it is filled with love and magic. We are looking forward to a laid-back NYC 4th of July, most likely including picnics in the park and a view of the big fireworks show from the roof deck of our apartment building. Taro and I have a special day planned for Monday, which is our seventh wedding anniversary! I look forward to sharing some of the details when I return to the blog on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, here are a bunch of links to things that caught my attention on the interwebs this week...
