Go Ahead, Mosaic Yourself!

Inspired by my friend, Meg, I decided to to join in this Flickr meme, Mosaic Yourself, and this is what I came up with -- my identity as reflected by Flickr, lol:

1. Dorian Leigh, 2. Coffee Ice Cream, 3. Untitled, 4. The Photographer, 5. Gael Garcia Bernal by Craig McDean, 6. Un momento, mais nada, 7. carrousel de paris, 8. coffee and chocolate mousse cake, 9. A fan-dango, 1939, 10. Watching the fireworks, 11. llibreria - bookstore - Amsterdam - HDR, 12. BilliKidComboSlaps—NYC

It's a fun game -- if you try it please leave me a comment with a link to your results!  Here's what to do...

Type your answer to each of the questions below into a Flickr search. Using only the first page, choose your favorite image, then copy and paste each of the URL’s into the mosaic maker (3 columns, 4 rows).

The questions (and my answers in parenthesis):

1. What is your first name?  (Leigh)
2. What is your favorite food?  (Coffee ice cream)
3. What high school did you attend?  (Unschool)

San Francisco Recommendations?

Speaking of San Francisco, we're actually headed there next week for our family vacation.  It will be the first time that just the three of us have explored a new place together!  Which brings me to my question, dear readers:  Do you have any tips or recommendations of things we should check out, food we should eat, places we should shop (etc. etc.) while we're there?  I would love to know!

Meanwhile, check out Hula Seventy's poetically beautiful photo blog of a recent trip to San Francisco, here (the photo above is from the collection).

Beautiful Fridas

A recent San Francisco casting-call sought Frida Kahlo look-alikes for a set of tableaux vivants of Kahlo’s works.  Here are some of the gorgeous results, found here.  If I had been in San Francisco, I so would have been there!

Soopascarf

I know it's still August and perhaps this attraction has been hastened because I'm on camp-induced summertime overload, but I just cannot get this gorgeous piece out of my mind:
