Image of the Day
It's not every day that I run across an image I love enough to post both here and on my other blog, but this one was just too good not to share twice. Please excuse the redundancy ;)

Duet
Joanna emailed me a link to this beautiful video and it absolutely made my day. Goosebumps, smiles and tears: it's not every day a four-minute-twenty-one-second clip can induce all three of those things, but this one did it for me. What a display of unabashed joy and love. Fantastic.

What We're Dancing To
My mom bought this for Taro for Christmas, and it's been on heavy rotation at our house ever since. We all start dancing every time we hit "play". It is seriously hot.

How To Upstage Kanye, J-Z, Lil Wayne and T.I.
Be MIA. And rock your polka-dotted pregnant belly all over that stage while you sing the hook.
Love that she wore sneakers on the red carpet.

Dancing At the Museum
Well, it might not be snowing here, but it is cold and rainy. The kind of depressing weather that makes me so thankful to live close to great museums, where we can spend the winter days warm and dry and having tons of fun. Here's a little clip from our recent visit to the Children's Museum of Manhattan, a toddler's paradise.

Karaoke Kiddo
Last night the official Camp Our Time activity was Karaoke, and while the hosts were getting things set up the Kiddo and his dad took the stage for a little impromptu beat-boxing. I can't resist posting the footage:

Midsummer Swing Dresses
I just discovered a New Orleans company that makes these sweet little updates on classic dresses from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. I would love to wear them when I go here.
xo,
Leigh
PS: The red one is only 34 bucks!

Note To Self
If I have more kids, perhaps this would be a good way to pack 'em in to my NYC apartment. After they've outgrown the family bed they can just transition to the family bunk. Meanwhile, we won't have room for a big comfy chair like that, but it'll be all the more cozy, ship-like!

Fun. Goofy. Inspiring. Beautiful.
I know that this video has already become an internet sensation, but I only just became aware of it when I read this article in today's New York Times. Intrigued, I went to Youtube to check it out and it totally made my day. Of course, that means I want to share it with you!
I think this piece is a wonderful example of the simple power of art (in this case, dance and music) to reveal the common bonds that we all share as human beings. Enjoy!
