I just stumbled upon this fascinating project by artist Jeongmee Yoon, wherein youngsters are photographed amongst their own belongings -- boys with blue items and girls with pink items. The images are visually arresting and really get you thinking about our culture and gender issues within it. Check it out.

Why This Blog Has Been M.I.A.

The craziness has continued, as the Kiddo came down with a nasty bout of the flu on Monday night and we've been struggling to get him back to his old healthy happy self ever since. Today he's feeling a bit better -- enough so that he felt like taking a bath. My mom, the Kiddo's Mammaw, is still here (leaving this afternoon to head back to Mississippi...wah!) and she snapped this cute pic to add to her collection:
